On December 16, 2021, Southwest Tennessee Community College Saluqis took on Holmes Community College Bulldogs for the second time this season. Southwest came out intense looking very disciplined as James DeJesus made a tough shot, Kaemon Prude hit a three-pointer, and Jarren Nunez-Radden made a nice post move layup. Over the next seven minutes, it was a hard-fought battle with both teams playing tough defense and scoring back-to-back. Prude knocked down a tough three at the very end of the shot clock, then Will Farris and Kamrin Jones each got great steals that led to layups to give Southwest a 13-point lead and by halftime the Saluqis increased their lead to 41-25.

In the first five minutes of the second half, the Saluqis were on fire, extending the lead to 27 points. However, over the next five minutes, Holmes had tripped the lead to 16 and eventually cut it to the final margin of ten but in the end it simply wasn't enough. Southwest won the game 78-68 and it was a well-balanced night statistically. Arecko Gipson led the team in points (18), rebounds (8), and assists (4) while three other Saluqis also scored in double figures - Prude (11), Jones (14), and DeJesus (10). Southwest also forced Holmes to commit 21 turnovers on the night.
